Curriculum

For Children Only is dedicated to provide a balanced approach to learning for every child. Our educators provide a nurturing and caring place for early childhood education. By playing, exploring and learning through hands-on experiences and engaging classroom activities with others in a fun, safe and healthy environment, every child will be successful.

All of our classrooms follow a central theme for the week, which introduces the children to new topics and teaches them about the world around them. Every morning starts with a morning circle time that greets the children and introduces them to the activities for the day. Our teachers then guide the children throughout the day through fun activities such as creating art, making music, reading together and outdoor activities. Children also have designated times throughout the day to explore in their classroom's learning centers, which encourages learning through hands-on experiences of their choice.

We are proud to use Scholastic for Pre-K curriculum combined with S.T.E.A.M. enriched activities. Scholastic for Pre-K is a comprehensive early learning program that embraces children's natural curiosity and encourages them to explore and connect to the world around them. The pre-kindergarten curriculum incorporates the most current research on child development into a program that celebrates early learners and prepares children for success in school and life!

Scholastic for Pre-K combines the following elements of success to ensure a quality and enriching learning experience for every child:

• Big experiences – Whole Group, Circle Time and Story Time lessons are combined for the entire class into a Big Experience that introduces the children to new vocabulary, concepts and skills
• Meaningful conversations – Building oral language and development
• The best children's literature and nonfiction – providing the children with a wide variety of  comprehensive books 

Our Daily curriculum is combined with S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) inspired activities placing the focus on the process of learning, as well as the result.

Each classroom's learning centers will be centered around the theme for the week and will encourage learning through hands-on experiences.
